VOLUNTEER

You can be part of what is being built…

The land is secured, which is no small thing.

The vision is clear — not just a place for horses, but something more meaningful than that.

We’re building toward a space where horses are safe, properly cared for, and able to just be horses again.

And alongside that, a place where people can come, slow down, breathe, and reconnect — with themselves, with nature, and yes… with the horses.

Because if you’ve ever spent time around horses, you already know — there’s something very special about them.

Horses don’t rush you. They don’t judge you. They meet you exactly where you are.

This kind of space matters. For horses and people.

But none of it builds itself. Right now, what’s needed is the unglamorous, behind-the-scenes work that actually makes all of this possible — fencing, shelter, water, feed storage, safe areas… the infrastructure that turns land into something functional, safe, and sustainable.

If you’re in a position to contribute — in any amount — it truly does make a difference. Every single dollar helps move this forward, piece by piece.

If you’re not in a postion to contribute, sharing this page or telling someone else about it helps more than you might think.

Maamawi-Noojimoiwewin is Ojibwe and means "healing together".

It speaks to the connection between people, horses, and the land -- and the journey we all share.

The name was gifted by the mother and grandmother of Kara Perrault-Barry (Garden River First Nation), who created our logo.
